How it started
The Norwich Gig List started in 2025 as a small personal project - there were so many great events happening in the city, but unless you checked every venue regularly you were bound to miss some! We started with a DIY spreadsheet that logged the biggest venues and slowly expanded, eventually publishing the list in full on our website. Now, when you want to find out what is going on in Norwich, it's as easy as possible for you to know!
We are all about the grassroots - every event and venue is weighted and promoted the same! We're also keen to highlight other Norwich creatives, and host a weekly guest photographer for the cover of our Instagram post.
Unlike other national services that conglomerate events, there is no fee for your gig to be listed here. We understand how difficult it is for grassroots venues and independent artists to get the attention they deserve - and we're not in the business of making that any more expensive! Our platform is solely supported by advertisers who want to support Norwich's creative scene. We also link directly to the venue websites, instead of acting as a third party booking site. More traffic to the venues' sites means more exposure for them and the fantastic events that they programme!
